Democracy and Belonging: Learning from Immigrant Communities

The Political Reform program at New America “seeks to develop new strategies and innovations to repair the dysfunction of government, restore civic trust, and realize the potential of American democracy.” This report outlines the research and findings of five focus groups led by Democracy Rising in an effort to highlight the voices of immigrant communities across the United States who are often left out of conversations around governance, how they see themselves engaging in the existing political structure, and how they feel about alternative political systems.
